Roots of by Raskovic & Arapis
Childhood friends for over 20 years, Filippos and Giannis learned to listen and play music together from an early age. Their paths diverged; Filippos into composition and solo piano, Giannis into punk and free jazz—but they continued to meet in different formations.
This is their first release as a duo, returning to their core instruments and the shared musical language they began building together, to hear what it has become.

Giannis Arapis is a guitarist and a composer based in Athens, Greece who performs,
composes and improvises experimental rock and jazz music. His main
purpose is to help establish the electric guitar as a melodic voice in
avant-garde music.
He has played and recorded with Noël Akchoté, Mats
Gustafsson, Eva Lindal, Johan Berthling among others.
