Sow & Reap by Ghostown

Sow & Reap is album number 6 (7 if you count Culture Vulture), there has also been a few EP’s and instrumental releases, since 2018 there has been around one new song a month for the last 3 years!, Hopefully we can keep that up! This album has seen the most collaboration between me and Kirsa since the days when we first worked together (Reflectionz 2008) Bringing a level of turntablism (apparently not a word according to my spell checker) not yet seen! Tracks like Golden Black (which also feature the wonderful vocals of Nawelle Saidi (Known for Screenatorium, Degiheugi & Dr Flake) show how separate tracks can be brought more to life by the DJ’s touch, creating new melodies and frequencies which could not be achieved any other way.

The album is mostly down tempo, celebrating failure and mid life crisis (again)”Sow/Golden”, with a dedication to roadkill and trapped hedgehogs “Deadthingz”, an ode to HBO & Netflix “Breadstick”, before breaking off into a toe tapping jig of joy with the don’t do drugs kids track “Wagon”, actually who cares track “Jelly” and just do what you want track “Lets go Back”

The overall tone is your usual mixture of light hearted darkness, hypnotic grooves, toe tapping head nodding beats, some 90's vibes (Breadstick), some folk samples, some ska vibes, but all held together by the Ghostown glue!
