Emergence by George Walker Petit

On my third release as a 'leader', I've tried to combine 38 years experience in the studio with my own compositions and playing. I am with a wonderful band here; we address about 5 or 6 different sub-genres in Jazz if you will. Some blues, funk, soul and even country - but all with a ear to bringing jazz sensibilities to the music. This is a collection of 20 tunes on two CDs. There are 15 originals and 5 'covers'. My roles were to compose, arrange, perform, engineer, mix and produce. Seventeen months in the making, Emergence is my personal statement of what the years have taught me. I sincerely hope that you love the music!
