Coming Home by Geoffrey Lake
The Coming Home album is a culmination of songs like We Will Rock and How Long that were developed over a period of years. I'm Gone was a song written several years ago and performed in the Whiskey Rebellion while residing in Missoula Montana. When I decided to start recording these songs, The Cancel Blues came to mind while getting accustomed to the software for recording.
Coming Home is a song that came to me while in Spokane WA when I decided it was time to be closer to the kids bringing me back home to Wisconsin.
And finally, while strumming my acoustic guitar one evening, I came up with the chords for Should I Fade Away and continued on from there with a shorter version of the song. The extended version is included with this album.
