As I turn 28, I reflect back on everything that I’ve done and I honestly thought I would be further, like many of us. But with that I acknowledge my wins and the amount of skills I’ve gained over the years, and I just take it as more fuel to keep going.
This one is for all our Trans friends that didn’t make it in this cruel world, we will continue to use our voices, and we will not be silenced or erased. And for my oldest sister that I lost to Scleroderma when she was 28, about 8 years ago, I can’t believe it’s been that long tbh. I don’t even remember if she ever heard my first songs, but I remember her always supporting and although we never got very close I still feel a sense of loss. You never know the impact you have on someone, big or small. Everyone goes through sh*t, and we all need community- now more than ever. Keep sharing your story, and don’t hide from the world because then you may never find your tribe..
