Two 19th-century German melodies,
one of which happens to be the
European anthem, radically
reinterpreted for guitars, hand-pumped
harmonium, a Korg MS-20 synth, a
clarinet, and a field recording or two.
Ludwig was recorded entirely in
January 2020 at home in London, as
was the harmonium part for Johannes.
The guitar and clarinet parts for
Johannes were recorded years ago in
Belgium.
