Lapis Lazuli by Garden Crack feat. Michael Moore

Omer (Israel), Adrián (Spain) and Nino (France) a.k.a. Garden Crack came to study in Amsterdam because of their interest in its improvisation scene and its rich tradition stemming out of the ICP (Instant Composers Pool). Collaborating since 2020 with Michael Moore, one of the prominent musicians in the Amsterdam scene, they consider a highlight. The result of that collaboration that started in 2020 was the album "Lapis Lazuli".

"Lapis Lazuli" is the creative aftermath after the 2020 pandemic that left artists all around the world in a very insecure situation, wandering what was our purpose in a socially distanced world. In the midst of all that noise, the poem “Lapis Lazuli” written in 1936 by William Butler Yeats seemed to crystallise the importance of artists in times of crisis. Inspired by it, the music you will find in this album tries to transmit the hope and consolation effect that art can have on people.
