Paper box, pinhole eye.

Remember the schoolyard? Running fools.
Remember when the moon stood in front of the sun?

We were destined
We’re moving parts
Separate together, together apart.

I once wrote a poem and played in a band.

The name of that poem: black bags are for leaving
And I could never be you and you could never be me.

I could be screaming, like Stephen, charging up Roncesvalles Avenue
Yeah, I got my reasons too.

Went to see the artist with so many faces
And eyes lit like match sticks kissing the air.

And she told us a story of an ancient orgy
And why the sun is forever chasing the moon.
