Ambient with a jazzy, symphonic touch in my own particular way.
I have used several techniques on this album: chopping up samples in Forester and Ableton Live, arranging tracks in Garageband, live improvisation, played a little bit of guitar and used several acoustic percussion instruments and of course soft synthesizers (Arturia Analog Lab, Fullbucket analogue Korg emulations etc), the excellent Devian Zikri Monster Sax plugin, as well as my old trusty K-Station.
There are nine tracks, eight of which are directly inspired by photographs and thoughts by Robbert van Nes. You can find his Instagram account here. There's lots more to be found. https://www.instagram.com/robbert.nv/
'Fakescapes' are mostly ordinary, everyday things transformed by a snapshot and a thought into landscapes or things.
Gandavon is the alias of William Higgins, a British-Dutch synth/acoustic audiovisual alchemist weaving sonic and visual tapestries from his shed studio in Northern Limburg, Netherlands.
