magnetosphere ep by gaines point ghost
this album was recorded during a 3 day snow storm in February 2020. I began recording each night at sunset, and this EP is the culmination of that sonic meditation as the night sky merged with the snowy ground. The setting sun turned everything gold and magenta for a few minutes. The world around me was quiet and peaceful for a few moments. During these mediative sessions, each night the stars and falling snowflakes became one and the same. This EP is a 4 part suite that is designed to teleport the listener upward through the layers of Earth's atmosphere, through the clouds and into the great beyond.

Credits
instruments used in this recording were the Moog model D app for iOS, Ausdiokit Synth One app for iOS, Korg drum machine, Casio SA 21 keyboard, Vox mini amp, delay, reverb, distortion, R2 Doom Unit. The primary recording was made on a Fostex 4 track cassette portastudio and mixed/edited using Audacity.
