when I was in Iceland, there were a few moments on the walking path between my apartment and the university where I was alone. the walk was about 25-30 minutes, so in these moments, I would actually see how long I could walk with my eyes shut without stepping off of the path.

this song pays homage to those moments, as well as emphasizing how we need not react to our emotions and feelings, but to notice and respect them. "control the weather" refers to your awareness; how drawing focus into how your body feels and how you feel can give you better perspective, especially on things that you cannot change.
