A conceptual electronic music label Future Sound Scientists (FSS Recordings) presents the very special release “Newborn” LP that delivers 13 original compositions created by electronic music duo Artfcl (Andrius Laucevičius and Matas Samulionis). Originally, all compositions were composed and recorded as a soundtrack for the electro-acoustic ballet “Newborn” whose emergence was inspired by famous Lithuanian graphic artist from the 50s and 60s Stasys Krasauskas works of art.
Altogether, the soundtrack tells a story of a volatile love, depicting tender and touching encounters, the feeling of passion that follows after, and inevitably hurtful separation. Within the language of music, Artfcl recreates the spectacular difference of the inner worlds of two people and the vital connection between them that dawns, evolves, and gradually ends.
As a performance, the electro-acoustic ballet “Newborn” was created in collaboration with the choreographer and ballet dancer from Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre Vaida Šniūrevičiūtė, visual artist Domas Verikas, light artist Naurimas Michailiuk, under the initiative of the Archive of Lithuanian Literature and Art.
“Newborn” was partly sponsored by LATGA (Lithuanian Copyright Protection Association) and LTKT (Lithuanian Council For Culture).
