Dioskouri EP by Flandez

In one account of the story, Castor and Pollux are twins born of different eggs along with their sister Helen (of Troy). In the case of this EP, Mr Flandez chose the version where the Dioskouri (the brothers) have hatched from the same egg, sharing similar sounds but growing apart. While Castor could stir up a frenzy, we bet you Pollux would rather stun. In the first, the inspiration is left field techno, in the second, experimental orchestrations.

The sister egg is a 9 minute remix by Ma.to that loops its elements into a patient build. Here, things have been reorganized to fit the mold of minimal techno that one can dance to. It’s hypnotic as hell, and just spooky enough.

Pollux was the immortal one, but when Castor died, their father, Zeus granted them both a place in the sky where they were united again as part of the Gemini constellation. Look up or within to decide for yourself the faith of this music.

The music we enjoy and promote is subtle without being subdued. It is rather minimal, without being simplistic. When we refer to melodies being ‘deep’, we mean thoughtful. . of a soulful nature . .we strive to find the delicacies in imperfections and witness the precise beauty in mistakes.
