Splash by Frock
Recorded in an old wing of a castle in Bayreuth Germany on our second German tour. Engineered by the inimitable Markus Kopschitz who also filmed certain segments of the recording process. We slept in the studio for a week as we plied our dubious trade around Bavaria to rapturous responses and torrents of beer. Mixed back in Australia, and one of our more organic recordings, recorded during a tour during a very busy time for the group.

Frock are on an ecstatic journey of listening, sharing and communicating. When Frock started rehearsing in 1995, their experimental instrumentation caused a stir, in what is now a common place combination - their use of Accordion in Australian jazz was pioneering, and when combined with Vibraphone and Guitar gave them their signature lush orchestral soundscapes.
Apogee is Frock's 7th album.
