Doug's Dessert from Splash by Frock
Another popular opener for years ( we have been playing for nearly 17 years, so there have been many different popular openers). Adam wrote this as a response to Doug DeVries saying, after our first ever show, that we were too much meat and potatoes, not enough dessert. Delivered with trademark upper and lower lip curl. This piece has bent in every possible direction since this recording.
Frock are on an ecstatic journey of listening, sharing and communicating. When Frock started rehearsing in 1995, their experimental instrumentation caused a stir, in what is now a common place combination - their use of Accordion in Australian jazz was pioneering, and when combined with Vibraphone and Guitar gave them their signature lush orchestral soundscapes.
