Freetables 5 by a demon sheen

all arrangements of objects kept functioning by rubber bands, bulldog clips, wool, and blutak. after each recording, the entire set up was dismantled. ephemeral and transitory, like an audio sand mandala.

this album of freetables incorporates many swinging objects striking actual real drums - kick drums, turkish drums, tom drums, snare drums (snared and unsnared) - as well as strumming or hitting the strings of an acoustic guitar, and all the usual mixing bowls and whatsits that i normally use. also of course there are several tracks which incorporate leaning the acoustic guitar onto the actual spinning vinyl of a record, to act as a kind of hurdy-gurdy.

my stylus is so ruined at this stage (from being forced to run over things like spoons and pot lids etc) that it mostly just crackles and distorts now - all the cleaner record sounds on this album are from tracks recorded some time ago.

all sounds made by the freetables - all i did was set them up, and occasionally fade up or down the actual turntable noise, or place or remove the drone guitar. no overdubs or playing along or editing was performed - this is all raw machines.
