Sifting Tides from fractus by fractus

If seas could choose the tides they move
Follow a course they didn’t know
A flowing gape, a brief exchange, that carries on

If time assents to stay the same, anchoring all we are today,
No autumn leaves,
No bearing trees,
What remains?

But you move through here with grace
And this sky, it knows no age,
As these currents give and take
Finding home in seasons change

The amber rays,
That fall away,
As winter blurs the night from day
The calm descent, the cloud’s relent, to re-awake

The folding ground, that gives away tumbling plains in time erase
The embers fade, the river strays
An endless race

We are carried on by time,
In the currents, brought to life
Let these waters be the guide
Moving through these sifting tides
