In addition to the conventional piano trio form, the track making that intertwined strings, brass, and synthesizers that appeared in fcp's prolific discography of 10 years is still alive.
This album starts with a smoky, US jazz, LA hip hop vibes in #1."The Dawn coming", follows with a medium lead track #2."Akashic Xronicles", an effective beat that pleasantly pushes the intersection of moody melodies with a minimalist riff of grand piano and synthesizer, continues to fold with #3."Nexus", jazz rock tracks that the strings encourage emotional and run at an irregular beat. In addition, this project is a group of songs with a wide variety of facets and rich colors, such as #4."DRIVIN'", a mellow dance tune with a strong AOR color, #7."Evolution of science", a self-cover of a tie-up song for NHK E-TV program "Science ZERO", #9."Thank You (Dido)", which is fcp's standard of covers, etc.
And the ending track #10."fox straight ahead", where the ensemble of the 10 performers of this work develops magnificently with a lyrical and graceful sound, let us imagine the future that they leap further after their successful solo performance at the International Forum in the fall of 2020.

They have created a number of theatrical accompaniment and soundtracks that have become the identity of their unique activity style, and the ideas they have absorbed there have been incorporated into their original works. 2021年結成10周年を迎えた現代版ジャズロック・ピアノトリオ fox capture plan、新機軸を発見した8th"DISCOVERY"(2020年11月発売/PWT77)、初コンセプトアルバム 9th"NEBULA"(5月発売/PWT86)、初トリビュートアルバム"ESCAPE"(7月発売/PWT87)、そして集大成となる本作10th "XRONICLE"と、わずか1年の間に驚異的なハイペースで作品をリリースする。

従来のピアノトリオの形に加え、10年の多作なfcpのディスコグラフィーで登場してきたストリングス、ブラス、シンセサイザーが絡み合うトラックメイキングは健在!USジャズ、LAヒップホップを感じさせる[1]The Dawn comingからスモーキーに幕を開け、グランドピアノとシンセサイザーのミニマルなリフ、ムーディーな旋律の交差をエフェクティヴなビートが気持ちよく推しだすミディアムなリードトラック[2]Akashic Xronicles、ストリングスがエモーショナルを助長し変則ビートで疾走するジャズ・ロック[3]Nexusが畳みかけるように続く。AOR色の強いメロウなダンスチューン[4]DRIVIN'やNHK Eテレ「サイエンスZERO」のタイアップ曲[7] Evolution of scienceのセルフ・カヴァー、fcp定番の洋楽カバー・Didoの[9]Thank Youなど、間口の広い多面性と色彩豊かな粒揃いの楽曲群。

そして今作の演奏者10名のひりついたアンサンブルが叙情的かつ優美に響き壮大に展開するエンディング・トラック[10]fox straight aheadでは、2020年秋に国際フォーラム単独公演を成功させた彼らがさらに飛躍していく未来を想像させ、大団円を迎える。

彼らの独特な活動スタイルのアイデンティティにもなっている数々の劇伴・サウンドトラック制作、そこで吸収したアイディアはオリジナル作品にも落とし込まれており、その結晶は、すべてのリスナーを主人公にし輝かせるテーマ性、感情を何倍にも揺さぶる演出、生命力とドラマに溢れる音の粒子となっている。10年のfcp史が最高の形で込められたメモリアルな1枚。
