Mistero by Giuliano Sorgini

Following the success of Africa Oscura and Occulto, Four Flies continues to unearth more musical gems from the darker, more introspective side of Giuliano Sorgini’s work. Recorded between 1973 and 1979, the 20 tracks collected in Mistero were originally conceived by the composer and multi-instrumentalist as scores for films and documentaries, specifically to evoke dark, unsettling, and horrific scenes, but were never released.

Mistero delves deeper into Sorgini's fascination with the occult and esoteric, which clearly emerges from the mysterious soundscapes woven by the maestro through layered analog synthesizers. Crafting atmospheres brimming with ghosts, exorcisms, nightmares, and black magic, Italy’s alchemist of horror library music gives us a haunting collection that maintains suspense from beginning to end, once again showcasing his extraordinary ability to induce anxiety and fear.
