Away in a manger
How sweet the sound
The way of salvation for the lost to be found

God so loved the world
That He gave His only Son
That whosever believes in Him will not perish
But have everlasting life

Jesus
Went to the cross in our place
He took on our shame
Our pain
Our just punishment for sin

Then after three days

Though he was tempted

They tortured Him
Spit on Him
Ripped out His beard and mocked him
They put a crown of thorns on His head
To show him their disgust
And if that wasn’t enough
They nailed spikes through His hands and feet
And put Him on a cross to suffocate
We did it to Him
And He went through it
Because He loved us
