Misery from Stand United by Homeplate
Duo David Newman (guitar/vocals) and Cody Thompson (drums) are Homeplate! They bring a nostalgic and high energy mix of heavy breakdowns, catchy pop punk melodies, sometimes some tasteful horns, and raw emotion that could make a grown man cry. Their style of faith-based easycore will please fans of New Found Glory, Chunk, No Captain Chunk!, These Hearts, or At the Wayside.
After their debut EP “Derby City” on Indie Vision Music in 2020, the band released a pop punk-style single of the song "So Far Away" by Christian hard rock band, Red, and served as the first single launched from Small Step Records. Soon after, Homeplate released their EP, “Welcome to Breitenstein”, on 18 Jan 2022.
The next chapter of Homeplate is upon us. Get ready for new music in 2024.
