I am the Firstborn
For ages uncounted did I roam the wide cosmos
time without measure, space without confines
Yet in that boundless, formless void,
there rose before me one day a mass of black stone:
fantastic, insignificant,
a speck swallowed by the immensity
It drew me in, and beneath its charcoal skin
I felt the dying heartbeat of a vanished life
At its summit, Gafnen awaited me in patient silence
I laid my hands upon him,
and the memory of chaos returned
a surge of fire, a shudder of ruin
Long did I struggle against his pull;
many times I believed I would be consumed
But then I understood:
the power of the Void was also the cradle of Creation
From the black stone I shaped a hammer,
and in the furnace of my blood
I forged it into a tool no force could break
Gafnen would be my arm
I gathered the shards of astral coal
and set the newborn hammer to its first task
From them I drew forth six forms, alike yet unalike
And I named them Sklurùn:
my brothers, my blood, my breath
