tell me, who is this fae
sayin' all these things
they took the words right out my mouth
only they know how to sing
we dance around reflection's edge
where hungry flowers sleep
they reveal her secret heart
but her secrets, fae will keep

through the wound I see her glow
a light in my eye, and they know
I'm fallin' for her like the snow
but she won't let me
weave my story
like I always do
and we have something true

well it ain't the first time
I been lit up by this feeling
now it shines through my veins
and illuminates where I need healing
she won't be possessed by unrequested
gestures of intention
so it takes a page from snake's book
and sheds the patterns of its old dimensions

and now I see the fae sayin' these things
and they fit my muse's shoes
I hope they share her dreams with me
even if I get confused

for they're an echo and a mirror
show me how to truly hear her
so my love may flow clearer
and as I wake
fae flies away
bright eyed bird on the wind
but she'll be back again
