Horticulture IV by Flint Withers
"Horticulture IV" is the last of four pieces in a quadriptych of instrumental albums by Flint Withers and digital collage by GRUMP. These albums are collections of beats arranged for a live performance held at the UWF Community Garden in April 2023 titled "Music in The Garden". This show marked the first time the community garden at the University of West Florida had ever held a live performance.

In March of 2023, I curated a set of beats from 2021-2023 to play off the sp404 as part of an upcoming show I was developing. In this time I produced four distinct beat sets, each with their own aura and feel. On April 7th, 2023 I played those four beat sets in front of a live audience at the UWF Community Garden. A duo of myself on keyboard and Cori Bush on drums played before and after each beat set. That show was Music in The Garden. The Horticulture series are those four beat sets.
