Lava by Flashtech

Arrival's 18th release, "Lava", comes from Hungarian artist Flashtech, who recently contributed to the label with a remix of "Turning Point" from Track124. The title track "Lava" starts off with a frisky beat and sidechained pads in the background. Soon, a wealth of synth stabs appear, for instance a delayed pluck sound that adds extra groove to the rhythm. In the break, a subtle version of the theme melody emerges, which soon evolves into an energetic main lead.

The B-side is "Vakuum", which quickly establishes a strong groove and noticeable background effects. An enjoyable chord array is added, as numerous melody layers surface. A smooth pad line appears in the break, contributing more content to the lovely atmosphere.
