Deep Creek is a tributary of the Spokane River in Riverside State Park, Washington, near Spokane. It features a semi-dry canyon gorge. Water pools and flows underground in the summer as it nears the Spokane river. Wildlife heard on this recording includes a family of deer traversing a talus slope, Western Wood-Pewee, American Robin, Spotted Towhee, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Red Crossbill, Black-capped Chickadee, Mourning Dove, Pacific Slope Flycatcher, House Wren, Canyon Wren, Common Merganser, and a Common Merganser on the wing.
