Of Secrets of Ants.
That Ants may lose their place.
Take dry Origanum, and pouder it finely, and ſtrew it upon the place where Ants are, and they will quit their fortreſs.
Againſt Ants
Some mantain that the heart of a Bat will hinder Ants from coming forth. But Brimſtone will hinder them ; I think by its ill fent and fume. I never found anything for Trees better then water ; Make a circle of Wax about the Trees, and fill up the place void with water.
How to drive out Ants .
You shall drive Ants out of their holes, if you burn Snails ſhels with Styrax, and bruifing them, you ſtrew them among their Hillocks. Alſo you may drive forth Ants with Origanum and Brimſtone poudred, and ſcatter upon his Hils. But Ants will dye all, if you diſſolve juyce of Ben with Oyl, and poure that upon them.
