Wyoming by Paper Moon Recordings and Press

This album is dedicated to my dog Bella who passed away the day i finished the album on June 22nd 2024.

These songs are sound collages that i put together with cellphone & tape recordings of guitars, auto harps, friend's conversations, delay pedals, feedback loops, samplers, water, the sounds of a yard, the sounds of night time, samples of pop, folk, and traditional music from the Andes/Incan folk music CD's from my childhood, and the sounds of a warm home.
all of this was recorded in several places including: my childhood home near the mountains, my apartment in the city, the museum of jurassic technology's rooftop tea garden and interior, a creek in Ojai, CA, and the streets of los angeles.

some sonic inspirations while making this album is music from the andes & indigenous americas, Mulatu Astatke, Animal Collective, Black Dice, Dave Bixby, Arthur Russell, the soundtrack to The Wicker Man (1973), Dezron Douglas, Brandee Younger, The Boats, African- American Sound Recordings, Eric Copeland, Haruomi Hosono, Alice Coltrane, Flatsound, Jeff Parker, Earthgasm, Cambodian Sim Card, Chad Vangaalen, James Ferraro, Angels4Carrots, Little Wings, The Fruit Trees, Laraaji, LA Timpa, Shelter Music, OCS, and Masakatsu Takagi + many others.
