Penultimatum from The Mirror by Fathom The Void

I ventured curiously further down into my home
Behind my walls, my tears, and my ego
Trembling
Confused and intrigued I reach out and grab a hold of my being
So infantile
Its holding me, keeping me
Its breathing for me, weeping for me

While lost in my obsessive indulgence
A voice comes echoing back around to me
So distantly:
“The essence you hold onto
Is not your own to live through
The ancient light within you
Has lived a million lives before you
And so it shall after too”

And as I resurface
Gasping for the air escaping me
Naked and Fearless
I feel the moon kiss upon my cheek
So I raise my eye up
Overwhelmed as one would, but shouldn’t be
There dancing above me
Is all that ever was or ever will be
