Poppa Teardrop by Fan Tan Jack
Spread over six months of very relaxing Tuesday evenings, this project took three albums of previous recordings from CD, MP3 and YouTube. Each song has been stem-split (we extracted vocals, drums, guitars, bass and organs) and then remixed with simple channel strips, a light sprinkling of spatial reverb here and there and some gentle dynamics control. Some of the recordings were very rough (we have preserved some of this!), others only required a tickle. Split, polished, mixed and mastered at The Forge.
