FNL newcomer and multidisciplinary musician vvr takes the stage today. it's put together a collection of bedroom pop bangers it has made, and how loveable are they? immensely!

this mixtape, with its laid back chiptune-adjacent palette, harkens back to when free mp3 netlabels and pixel site decors were all the rage. the simplicity of vvr's songs here is a plus; it doesn't need to make its instrumentations and structures too frilly to make a loveable production. speaking of, there's an underlying theme of love to this mixtape as well. all these tracks pack a just-right amount of sweetness that gives the release a flair of affection. it's one thing to evoke feelings through lyrics, but composing an instrumental song where the emotional themes are apparent is a HUGE feat-- and vvr has delivered effortlessly!

some moments of this magnificent mixtape of which meticulous mention is material: U should come on-line is a brisk slammer that pairs delicate synth work with some heavy crushed drums. Gossamer ,,,wings is an ambient work that's like going to a pixelated nature reserve and taking in the serenity of it all. Dasher, the longest track, is a skittering pastel retro sci-fi credits theme that never gets old. and Duel op features lofty melodies that raise my spirits! this whole mixtape is, dare i say, so loveable, that it may just metaphorically melt your heart. why not give it a go?
