Lightborn from Apocrypha by Exiled Hope

This song is clearly a love letter to Avantasia and Kamelot, with just the right balance of sweet synths and hard-hitting riffs. I’d love to continue exploring this direction on the next album (spoiler alert: yes), because this song turned out exactly the way I wanted it to. "Lightborn" is about facing difficult times with someone and ultimately deciding to become a better person because of it, because you see that they deserve a better version of you. In terms of the album's storyline, the narrator hopes that the other person will accept the way that he's changed for himself and for everyone else, because he has finally realized how he can use the power he's been cursed with for good.
