Suites by Evil Dick
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Behold some of the most adventurous music ever composed! An unpleasant box of suites, left rotting for a decade on slowly bronzing CD-Rs, rescued and mastered for the first time - now's the time to tuck in and make yourself sick. This album collects together electroacoustic compositions, sonic art high jinks and a little EDBM improvisation, in a series of ABSTRACT SUITES. With the exception of one track, the material dates from the mid-2000s.
Tracks 1-8 (2003) were culled from the abandoned 'Steak n Cheese' project; tracks 9-12 (2009) offer the first official release of the 'Frog Island Suite'; track 13 (2015) is related to the Frog Island tracks, made from leftover components; and tracks 14 (2008) and 15 (2011) are too long and weird to go into, except to say they are twins born on different days. Each track has been mastered to provide the best possible sonic experience.

Track 2 features an extract of Cathy B and Cathy C chatting about what I would do with the recording of them discussing anal sex for the purposes of 'social anthropology'. (Sorry to disappoint girls, but this 'tune' is as far as the self-stimulation ever got).
On track 6 you can hear the voice of the original EDBM drummer, Peter Gregory who suffered a major stroke not long after quitting the band in 2003. Not heard from him in a long while, but I hope he's doing better now.
Track 1 was improvised at Cordelia Studios, Leicester on 11th November 2003.

Composer Evil Dick is a violent, abusive control freak. He is psychotic, given to totally contradicting himself. He is self-obsessed, which is not surprising because he is also incredibly dull (anyone heard his "coloured
dots" monologue?). He is prone to bouts of extreme grumpiness, especially in bed, when any kind of sound, including his own breathing sends him into a rage.
