inertia is motion making love to stillness it’s the promise & the permanence and noli me tangere but that doesn’t matter does it because heaven doesn’t bruise the way my body does beneath it and what’s endless is the now of it the over & over of the cyclic when every dead horizon begs for impact and knows that mercy doesn’t hear it so I sing & pretend I flower & rescind I tongue the lesser lights I pray & don’t live through it;
