Eudaimonia by Euthoric

“Eudaimonia” is the first full track of mine to be born from the stream, all the way back in February this year where I set myself the challenge of writing a song in under an hour. Far from the complete version you’ll be hearing today, all of the elements were decided in that span and can still be heard in its infancy on Youtube. As the final icing on the cake my good friend Johnny Rac suggested the name “Eudaimonia”, a word which I think sounds beautiful but means something even more profound. Eudaimonia is a Greek term for pursuing happiness by finding meaning and purpose, a word that perfectly captures the essence of Juanstone in one.

This track is by far the proudest of mine to date. As far as singles go, it is my deepest dive into atmospheric “ear candy” that is focused on delivering more than just the bare basic song elements. I had a lot of experimentation with reverbs and delays, using envelope filters like a painters brush strokes to create space and atmosphere that I feel like my previous tracks couldn’t quite reach.

This is also my most accomplished mix and master yet, with huge thanks to Chris Adam for his assistance in the mixing and mastering process, this is my most accomplished production yet and I cannot wait to implement what I have learnt into the next few tracks I have due for release.
