Livingroom Demos by Erika Lewis
At the end of the year 2020, during a very tumultuous time, I recorded my first studio album, A Walk Around the Sun, at The Bomb Shelter in Nashville. Produced by John James Tourville (The Deslondes, NOLA), he asked me to record demos of the songs I wanted on the album. Shaye Cohn, (Tuba Skinny, NOLA), came up to my house in Asheville and we sat in the living room and recorded to my phone. This is the result. They are rough and raw, and some of the songs were new and had never been played before. But they represent a pivotal time in my life and in my journey in music. Hope you enjoy this intimate view.
