Distance by Erasers

Erasers is the duo of Rebecca Orchard and Rupert Thomas out of Noongar boodja (Perth, Western Australia). Their sound is buzzy and earthy; awash in humming synthesizers, droning organs, zoned-out vocals and hypnotic melodies. Their latest, “Distance” was written and recorded at home over a few weeks in mid 2021 and like its title suggests, the tones evoke vast open topography; rolling deserts and misty, endless coastline. Differentiating from past releases, the duo’s sound expands on “Distance” into even deeper meditative terrain to round out their minimalistic mantra-based pop tunes.
