2 years on from the release of their debut album, ER@SER DESCRIPTION have returned with an all-new sound and catalogue of high-energy music.

Over the past 2 years and innumerable private jam sessions, David, Jack and Alex put together a vast library of short iPhone recordings of their improvisations, grooves, melodies, and chord progressions. This vault of unheard material was opened up in mid 2019 and from it, eight diverse and characteristic concepts were selected to build the new album - WAVES.

Along with this new material, the band has worked extensively on defining and refining a new sonic palette, rhythmic library, and style of playing, arranging, and interacting through their music. This album, conceived fundamentally from live and improvised jams, takes musical and sonic risks to bridge the gap between jazz and dance music, while capturing the spontaneity that flourishes within the group’s live experience.

Beyond the initial demo concepts, the 8 all-new compositions were almost entirely developed, arranged and refined in the 2 weeks leading up to the 2-day recording session at Wunderberg’s Studio. This deadline was further enforced as the very next day after the session, one-third of the band moved overseas for the remainder of the year. This presented many new challenges for the trio to overcome, as all editing, production, overdubs, mixing and mastering had to be done online, as a cross-global collaboration.
