Human Condition by Dromedar

For over a decade, Dromedar has delivered juicy electro-marinated post-punk and particularly infectious dance music on Oslo's underground and art scene. With roots in performance art and do-it-yourself music production, the band has grown into a hypnotizing and overwhelming art show.

Dromedar is based in Oslo at Hausmania Kulturhus and is recognized as a community and a platform in the visual art and music scene. Recently, they performed on the roof at the new National Museum in Oslo, and then back to the underground scene where they thrive and grow the most. Dromedar is also collaborating with Prosjektskolen Kunstskole, making the fantastic festival, BRUCSTOCK ART AND MUSIC FESTIVAL, at Can Serrat Art Residency, in El Bruc, Barcelona, where they just performed.

Human Condition has toured home and abroad since 2016. The 1st of June the LP vinyl will be released on Hærverk Industrier, with a live concert at Kafe Hærverk in Oslo. From Empty 6 Pack we proudly launch this delicate cassette version.

In conversations with Annete, the vocalist and front-show woman, we collected some deeper details about the album's history. <<We started creating the album in 2016. It’s mainly based on improvisations, then it goes beyond. I wrote all the lyrics. As in the tango dance; I suggested, and the band followed. Mostly, it’s jammed, digging grooves, experimenting with drums, and having fun with recording. Then, listen again and say this and the other is interesting, we will work with this. >> And about the title, <<The title of this album is inspired by Montse (Monserrat Canudas) our pioneer, WOMAN, and WITCH. This dynamic-organic farmer, based in St Pau del Guardia (outside El Bruc), hypnotizes you with her speech about nature, people and the world. She is an incredible inspiration and keeps the spirit of Dromedar and Brucstock alive. >>
