Postlude from Swirling Flame by Elysian Fields

Postlude is actually the final track from my Swirling Flame suite. When we were assembling the album, I realised that we needed a ‘bridge’ between the intensity of The Acceptance and The Slow Tides, a kind of musical pallet cleanser. So, I did what all baroque composers did: I borrowed music from myself and re-purposed it! Postlude sits well here but lives permanently in Swirling Flame.

Elysian Fields is one of the world's only electric viola da gamba bands. The sextet was founded by gambist, Jenny Eriksson along Matt Keegan, sax, & Matt McMahon, piano. We largely play original music & arrangements written by group members.
