Gold by Elly O'Keeffe
This a 'less is more' kinda song. Written in the hindsight of a heartbreak it was a gratitude song. This was recorded while I was in Nashville recording an EP. One live take is what I did. Once I returned to London I chose minimal but effective production and used a very talented mix engineer - Joe Hirst.
Elly's folk-based music has developed massively since she first began writing in 2006. Elly's debut album 'When We Live' gained recognition and acclaim with radio DJs and music lovers in Ireland however, her new record promises to show her development both as a musician and a skilled, insightful songwriter, who is undoubtedly set to become one of the most recognisable vocal talents of our time.
