Opus Odyssey by Elliot Benjamin

Elliot Benjamin is an English/Indian guitarist specialising in steel-string fingerpicking. He uses alternative tunings to explore improvisations within structures.

Elliot has travelled throughout Asia, Europe, and North America. Through his travels, he has connected with local musicians and practices. These varied cultures have influenced his music. In 2021 he became a student of Dhrupad, the oldest form of Indian classical music.

Opus Odyssey is Elliot’s debut album. It portrays an explorative and meditative journey. The music wanders through a diverse collection of stories which present experiences from Elliot’s nomadic lifestyle.

Playing this music has given Elliot a way to connect with himself and others, a tool to introspect, relax and uplift.
