Last Christmas from Last Christmas by Eli Paperboy Reed

I always loved “Last Christmas” as a song, but the production style of the original never really suited me. I’m usually game for the challenge of taking a well-known song and turning it on its head to fit my aesthetic. This one was actually easier than I thought. I took the lyrics and my acoustic guitar and played it down just like it is on our record. I could hear the “big band” style horns in my head already and the arrangement just sort of spilled out of me. I’m biased, but I think it really works. - Eli Paperboy Reed
