an observant fairy, sitting on top of a ledge in a fictitious setting - or maybe a guardian angel watching over and falling in love with a human person they had sworn to protect.

lately i have felt like this human person, dedicating my life to endeavors that feel so hopeless that they would almost certainly fail without some sort of divine intervention allowing them to succeed,

but i also feel like the angel. yearning perpetually for things all so close to me but simultaneously, so far away.

and maybe i feel like the fairy too, because maybe one day i will find out that nothing was real, and that it never mattered at all - i think a small part of me would find comfort in that.
