Woven into this music is an idea—or a dream, if you will—of art as a refuge—a secret garden where you can escape the world for a time.

Also, there's a subtext of the proverbial return to nature, much like in Shakespearian comedy, where first everything is in balance, then something "drops into the world" and things go topsy-turvy for awhile. And in the primaeval forest, a wild rumpus—disguises, misunderstandings, a play within a play (art within life?)—followed by masks torn away, identities revealed, and balance restored. Something like that. As usual, I try to let the music guide me, not the other way around.
