Quarantined Pieces LP Edgardo Moreno 2020

We came back from five weeks in Chile on March 19th 2020. The national borders had closed the day before and, in Santiago, social isolation had just begun. A couple of days earlier, just as the city was shutting down, I was able to record some of the last sounds of normality; the metro, a church service, and the bustle of the city.

Upon returning to Canada we had to quarantine for two weeks. I recorded quotidian sounds from our home in Hamilton.

I decided to create some simple melodies and couch them in these sounds.
Eight tracks of minimal melodies using some traditional Latin American instruments, beats and sound.
