Breathing Room by d york
This is my final release for 2022. This is music for relaxation, meditation, and contemplation.
The song titles and music were inspired by a book I read recently by Thich Nhat Hanh (who sadly passed away this year). I highly recommend checking out his work if you’re looking for ways to deal with stress, anxiety, or any other type of mental distress.
The first track is an imagined mental journey trying to escape the endless mental chatter that we always seem to have. Radio Non-Stop Thinking... The field recording (processed heavily as usual) is from my daily urban walk at lunchtime when I work in the office.
The second track reflects the late-night hours when our minds wander and thoughts flow – even under the surface of consciousness when we’re asleep.
The final track features Thich and is my favorite of the lot. Hopefully, it will help you get into a peaceful, mindful zone by focusing on your breathing while the music drifts and flows.
