I saw a sign that read, “FREE BEER HERE TOMORROW!”
For seven years, I’ve been here faithfully, every day.
I can’t explain how many moons that I have sorrowed
Persistent ignorance, my crutch to help me down the way

I know there’s more to life than chasing empty dreams
But I can’t help and wonder exactly what they mean

So I’ll sit down
And I'll buy another round
This won’t get me anywhere,
but as long as I am here
I’ll look forward to tomorrow,
when they’re serving that FREE BEER!

I had a plan I thought for sure that I could follow
Turns out you have to be there faithfully everyday
If I had a dime for each idea that I have borrowed
I’d be a richer man - with a whole lot less to say!
