Formed in 2003 in Cardiff, Wales, and currently signed to Transcending Obscurity Records, The Drowning sound brings together darkness, melody, and heaviness. A mix best described as Dark Metal.

The band is the legacy of Mike Hitchen, who passed away in November of 2024. Mike’s distinctive songwriting and guitar playing has left a lasting mark on the European metal scene.
