Phoenix based Driftwood Quintet and Sean Avery Medlin release "ECHOES EP", a collection of poetry written by Sean Avery Medlin with original chamber music accompaniment by Kevin E Kerr and Driftwood Quintet's own bassoonist, Benjamin Paley. The poetry deals with a variety of themes from black masculinity, media (mis)representation, and personal narrative. Sean Avery Medlin's colorful and evocative lyrics are matched by Driftwood Quintet's curatorial creativity and precise performances.
